7 May 2015 Releasing Optical Fiber Couplers for Visible and Near-infrared Wavelength Range

Fujikura Ltd. (President & CEO: Yoichi Nagahama, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has strengthened the line-up of optical fiber couplers by adding that of visible and near-infrared wavelength range for industrial and medical use. Optical fiber couplers have been supplied for telecommunication fields so far.

Products applied optical fibers are used in various fields such as OCT (Optical Coherent Tomography) for diagnosis in medical field and sensing for measurement in industrial field, and optical fiber components demands have been increasing.

The Company's optical fiber couplers have been used for submarine optical telecommunication devices, and the new product is reliable with high quality, applying the same production method.

The Company plans to release a variety of couplers for specific wavelength range continuously and add them its product line-up.
