Fujikura Releases New Arc Fusion Splicer 80S

April 11, 2013 – Tokyo, Japan. Fujikura Ltd., (www.fujikura.co.jp), the world leader in fusion splicing technology announces the debut of new Fusion Splicer : "Single fiber core alignment fusion splicer 80S”, which will be released to Russian market in June 2013.

Today, explosive increase of data traffic by smartphone, renewal of back-bone network in accordance with the spread of FTTH (Fiber To The Home) network, and a series of new submarine cable projects in emerging countries to build basic telecom infrastructure drive the demands of fusion splicer. 80S is the new standard model to cover varied splicing needs in those fields.
